DISCO DEMOLITION NIGHT
When music becomes a target

DISCO DEMOLITION NIGHT is a 20-page editorial project based on the events of July 12, 1979, at Comiskey Park. The book revisits a violent and symbolic moment in music history, when disco, rooted in Black, Latino, and queer communities, was publicly attacked as it gained mainstream popularity.

Through historical context, archival imagery, and original illustrations, the project sheds light on the cultural significance of disco and the hostility it faced.
